Can be used for formal U.S. job applications or included in resumes.
Our Typing Tests and Certificates meet American Industry Standards
Test your keyboarding speed and accuracy with a fully automated online typing test that uses professionally written passages over a 5‑minute period, right in your browser with nothing to install. Once you complete your Main Test, an accredited American Standard Typing Certificate is generated right away, displaying your Full Name, Net Words Per Minute (WPM) and Typing Accuracy %.
Each certificate has its own verification link and QR code that employers can check online. It's suitable as evidence of typing speed and accuracy for formal U.S. job applications, resumes and cover letters. American Standard Typing Certificates can support applications for positions such as Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, Call Center Representative and Customer Support, or similar entry-level roles in business and administration sectors across America.
Are you ready to type?
Take note of the following 3 key typing points:
1) About Our Typing System
Practice makes perfect!
Registering with American Standard Typing Certificates™ gives you unlimited Practice Tests to warm up those typing muscles. When you feel ready, take your Main Test on a desktop or laptop computer. It records your Net Words Per Minute (WPM) and Typing Accuracy % over 5 minutes.
2) Taking Your Time
Speed isn't always key!
We want you to succeed, so every pack includes more than one Main Test subscription: three in the Standard Pack and six in the Super Pack. Each Main Test issues its own accredited certificate, so you can share your best result.
3) Access to Your Test
Ready to take the test?
Within minutes of purchase, any time of day, your Welcome Email arrives with your sign-in details. No password needed! Your certificate shows the name you enter in the Student Full Name field at checkout, so please use your full legal name.
Every Typing Certificate Pack Includes:
Accredited Typing Certificate
Certificates include your full name, test date, Net WPM score, typing accuracy % and confirmation of the 5‑minute test duration, with a verification link and QR code employers can check online. Download or print your certificate right away after each Main Test.
5-Minute Timed Tests
Each Main Test runs for five minutes on a desktop or laptop computer and measures your Net Words Per Minute (WPM) and Typing Accuracy %.
Support When You Need It
Enjoy 7-day customer support for any assistance you may need. See our About Us & FAQ page for support hours.
Unlimited Practice Tests

Automated Certified Proctoring
Webcam snapshots are taken at the start, midpoint and end of your Main Test, with your consent. A webcam is recommended but optional. If you decline, your typing result is unaffected. Your certificate and its verification page show how many snapshots were captured.
Up to 6 Main Test Subscriptions!
Choose the Standard Pack with three Main Test subscriptions or our best value Super Pack with six. Need another attempt later? Add a Top‑Up any time. Each subscription is one attempt at your 5‑minute Main Test.
